This Head & Neck cancer support group meet every other month on a Friday between 2 – 4pm at Cantley Methodist Church.
Parking is to the rear off Villa Park Road. Refreshments are provided.  The meetings are very informal…just turn up, no bookings needed.

A group used to run before Covid, and Calderdale & Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust have relaunched this group which is for laryngectomy patients and their families/carers and friends.
The new meeting venue is the Focal Community Centre, next to the Salvation Army on New Hey Road, Oakes, Huddersfield HD3 4DD.
Meetings in 2024, all 11 am – 1pm are:

The group is open to all patients and their carers. 

Activities, speakers and members of the health care team at every session. Trips to the seaside, musicals etc plus a Christmas party and newsletter.
We meet every two months – contact us for dates.
Burton Street is just off Langsett Road and has regular bus and tram services. Free parking.

This group aims to offer support and information to any person affected by head and neck cancer including partners, carers, relatives and friends.

The emphasis of the education/support groups is to enjoy mutual emotional support and gain practical help and information in an informal and relaxed atmosphere.
The group is invaluable in allowing head and neck cancer patients to get together. Patients and relatives have described the group as a ‘lifeline’ and a way of meeting others who have had similar experiences.
Meetings are held on the third Friday of the month 10 am – 12 noon:
Meetings run on a six month rolling programme, please attend when you can, even if you have heard the theme before as people bring different perspectives.
If you plan to attend, it’s important you contact the team first because of limited space.
